One beautiful morning, the sound of tiny “quack quack” noises filled the backyard as a group of adorable ducklings waddled around the farm. Dad had been busy taking care of them since sunrise, carrying food buckets and cleaning their little shelter. Watching nearby was smart little monkey Zika, who always loved helping with animals.
As soon as Zika saw Dad working alone, he quickly ran over with excitement.
“Dad, can I help take care of the ducklings too?” Zika asked eagerly.
Dad smiled warmly because he knew Zika was very responsible despite being small. “Of course,” he replied. “But you must be gentle with them.”
Zika nodded seriously and immediately began helping. First, he carried a small basket filled with duck food. Even though the basket looked heavy for his tiny arms, Zika carefully brought it to the feeding area without dropping anything.
The ducklings quickly gathered around him, chirping happily. Zika laughed as the fluffy little birds waddled around his feet. He slowly sprinkled food onto the ground while making soft quacking sounds to call them closer.
“Come here, little ducklings!” he said cheerfully.
Dad watched proudly as Zika patiently fed every single duckling. Some of the smaller ducklings struggled to reach the food, so Zika gently moved closer and made sure they could eat too. His kindness made Dad smile even more.
After feeding time, Dad needed to refill the ducklings’ water tray. Before Dad could ask, Zika quickly grabbed a small bucket and carefully carried water from the pump. A few drops splashed onto his face, making him giggle, but he continued working hard.
Later, one curious duckling wandered too far from the group and became stuck near a muddy puddle. The tiny bird chirped nervously while trying to climb out. Zika immediately noticed and rushed over to help. He carefully lifted the little duckling with both hands and carried it safely back to the others.
Dad gently patted Zika’s head. “You are very smart and caring,” he said proudly.
Hearing those words made Zika beam with happiness. By the end of the morning, the ducklings were clean, fed, and happily resting together.
Everyone agreed that smart little Zika was the perfect helper. His love for the ducklings and willingness to help Dad made the farm feel even warmer and full of joy.
