Bobo has always been a curious little monkey, but there was one thing that made her nervous—water! Whenever Mom brought her near the swimming area, Bobo would immediately become cautious. She would hold tightly onto Mom and try to stay as far away from the water as possible. Even the sound of splashing made her look worried.
One sunny day, Mom decided it was time to help Bobo overcome her fear. Instead of forcing her into the water, Mom patiently stayed beside her and encouraged her to take things slowly. She first let Bobo sit near the edge and watch the water. Bobo carefully observed Mom as she moved her hands through the water and showed her that there was nothing to be afraid of.
After a while, Mom gently held Bobo’s hands and helped her touch the water. Bobo quickly pulled back, but Mom comforted her with a reassuring hug. She continued encouraging Bobo, reminding her that she was right there and would never leave her alone.
Little by little, Bobo became more confident. Mom carefully supported her body as Bobo placed her feet into the water. At first, she looked nervous, but soon she realized that Mom was keeping her safe. Her frightened expression slowly turned into curiosity.
Then came the biggest moment of the day. With Mom’s support, Bobo moved farther into the shallow water and began kicking her little legs. She splashed around and discovered that swimming could actually be fun!
Mom was incredibly proud of her brave little girl. Bobo had not conquered her fear instantly, but she had taken small steps and never gave up.
