Every morning in the little family kitchen, the delicious smell of food filled the air while Mom prepared meals with love. But she was never alone for long, because Lyly the monkey always rushed in happily to help. Even though she was still small, Lyly had become Mom’s most invaluable assistant whenever cooking time arrived.
One sunny morning, Mom planned to cook a big lunch for the whole family. She gathered fresh vegetables, eggs, and spices onto the table. Before Mom could even call for help, Lyly appeared wearing her tiny apron with a huge smile on her face.
“Mom, I’m ready to help!” Lyly said proudly.
Mom laughed gently and gave her an important job. Lyly carefully washed the vegetables one by one in a bowl of water. She worked slowly and seriously, making sure every carrot and tomato was perfectly clean. Mom watched with surprise because Lyly had become so careful and responsible.
After washing the vegetables, Lyly carried them to the kitchen table. Even though the basket was a little heavy, she held it tightly without complaining. Mom smiled warmly and praised her hardworking little helper.
While Mom cooked soup on the stove, Lyly helped stir the ingredients carefully with a wooden spoon. The soup smelled wonderful, and steam filled the kitchen. Lyly’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she watched the colorful vegetables cook together.
At one point, Mom accidentally dropped a spoon onto the floor while preparing the meal. Before she could bend down, Lyly quickly picked it up and handed it back politely.
“Thank you, Lyly,” Mom said proudly. “You help me so much.”
Hearing those words made Lyly’s little heart feel full of happiness. She loved spending time with Mom, especially when they cooked together.
When lunch was finally ready, the whole family gathered around the table. Everyone complimented the delicious food, but Mom made sure to tell them how much Lyly had helped prepare the meal.
Lyly smiled shyly while eating her food, feeling proud of herself. From that day on, everyone knew that little Lyly was not only adorable but also incredibly capable. She had truly become Mom’s precious kitchen assistant, bringing love, joy, and warmth into every meal they shared together.
