One quiet afternoon, CUTIS sat alone near the window looking unusually sad. Normally, he was full of energy, running around the house, playing tricks, and making everyone laugh. But today felt different because his best friend, Buem, had gone away for a short trip with family.
At first, CUTIS tried to stay busy. He played with his toys, climbed onto the sofa, and even peeked into the kitchen searching for snacks. But no matter what he did, he kept thinking about Buem.
Every few minutes, CUTIS would walk to the front door and stare outside as if expecting Buem to suddenly return home. When he realized Buem was still gone, he slowly lowered his head and sighed sadly.
Seeing this adorable behavior, Dad decided to cheer him up.
Dad picked up his phone and showed CUTIS a picture of Buem on the screen. The moment CUTIS saw his best friend’s face, his eyes lit up with excitement. He immediately jumped closer and touched the phone carefully with both tiny hands.
Then Dad had a funny idea.
“Do you want to call Buem?” he asked.
CUTIS tilted his head curiously while Dad started a video call. After a few seconds, Buem’s smiling face appeared on the screen.
CUTIS became unbelievably excited.
He squealed happily, jumped up and down on the couch, and made adorable little sounds as if trying to talk. Everyone in the room burst into laughter watching how emotional CUTIS became during the call.
Buem waved from the phone, and CUTIS quickly hugged the device tightly against his chest. He even kissed the screen several times, making the moment even sweeter.
For the next few minutes, CUTIS stayed completely focused on the video call. Whenever Buem spoke, CUTIS responded with funny expressions and cheerful noises like they were having a real conversation.
By the end of the call, CUTIS looked much happier. He finally relaxed and curled up peacefully beside Dad.
Even though they were far apart, the little monkey’s love and friendship for Buem could still be felt through one simple phone call.
