Still, Mom had one last question. “What if Yen Nhi gets tired or wants to go home early?”
CUTIS answered confidently, “I’ll listen to her, make sure she’s comfortable, and we’ll come home before sunset.”
His thoughtful response warmed Mom’s heart. Seeing how responsible and prepared he had become, she finally nodded. “All right, you have my permission. But stay together, be polite, and come home on time.”
