It was another busy and exciting day on the farm, and little monkey Zika was happily helping Dad with the watermelon harvest. The sun was shining brightly, and the field was filled with large, juicy watermelons waiting to be picked. Zika loved farm work, especially when there was something interesting to do!
Dad carefully carried several watermelons toward the storage area. Nearby, there was a deep pit that had been dug for an important farm project. Everyone knew they needed to be careful around it.
Zika was carrying a small watermelon when suddenly, disaster struck!
One of the biggest watermelons slipped from Dad’s hands and began rolling quickly toward the pit. Dad immediately shouted, “Oh no! The watermelon!”
Zika turned around and saw the giant watermelon heading straight for the edge. Without hesitation, the clever little monkey rushed into action.
He quickly grabbed a long wooden stick and placed it across the path of the rolling watermelon. But the watermelon was too heavy and continued pushing forward.
Zika didn’t give up.
Thinking quickly, he moved to the side and used the stick to guide the watermelon away from the pit. At the same time, he pushed a small pile of soil into its path, creating a little barrier.
The watermelon slowed down.
“Come on, Zika!” Dad encouraged him.
With one final push, Zika managed to stop the watermelon just inches from the edge of the pit!
Dad rushed over and safely picked it up. He looked at Zika with a huge smile and proudly patted him on the head.
“You saved our best watermelon!” Dad laughed.
Zika looked extremely proud of himself. He jumped up and down, clapping his hands as if he had just completed the most important job on the farm.
Dad then showed Zika how to carefully move the remaining watermelons away from the pit. Together, they worked as a team and safely transported the entire harvest.
By the end of the day, Zika was tired but very happy. Dad gave him a sweet watermelon slice as a reward for his quick thinking.
Zika happily munched on the juicy treat while Dad smiled.
Once again, the clever little monkey proved that being small doesn’t mean you can’t solve big problems. His quick thinking, courage, and teamwork had saved the precious watermelon from disappearing into the pit! 🍉🐒❤️
