It was a sunny morning on the family farm, and little Farmer CUTIS was already wide awake. Wearing his tiny straw hat and rubber boots, he grabbed his small harvest basket and announced with excitement, “Today is jackfruit day!” Dad laughed at CUTIS’s enthusiasm and followed him to the orchard, curious to see what adventure was about to unfold.
As they walked beneath the tall trees, the sweet aroma of ripe jackfruit filled the air. CUTIS carefully inspected each fruit, gently tapping them just as Dad had taught him. After finding the biggest and ripest jackfruit hanging from a sturdy branch, he proudly pointed at it and declared, “That’s the winner!”
Dad carefully cut the giant jackfruit from the tree while CUTIS clapped with excitement. The fruit was so large that it took both of them to roll it into a wheelbarrow. CUTIS couldn’t stop giggling as Dad pretended the enormous jackfruit was heavier than a mountain.
Back at the farmhouse, CUTIS suddenly had a brilliant idea. Instead of simply enjoying the fruit, he gave Dad a very important mission. “Dad,” he said with a serious face, “you must peel every piece, remove all the seeds, save the seeds for planting, and make delicious jackfruit desserts before sunset!”
Dad looked at the huge fruit, then at CUTIS, and burst into laughter. “That sounds like four missions instead of one!” he joked. CUTIS crossed his arms and nodded confidently, making everyone laugh even harder.
Dad rolled up his sleeves and got to work while CUTIS acted like the farm supervisor. He carefully watched every step, reminding Dad not to waste a single sweet fruit pod. Whenever Dad slowed down, CUTIS playfully blew a tiny whistle and cheered, “Keep going, Dad! You can do it!”
Soon, the kitchen was filled with bowls of golden jackfruit, fresh smoothies, and sweet sticky rice topped with the juicy fruit. Mom joined in, helping prepare tasty treats for the whole family.
That evening, everyone gathered around the table to enjoy the delicious feast. The sweet jackfruit tasted even better because it had been harvested with teamwork, laughter, and love.
As the sun set over the farm, Dad smiled and thanked his little farmer for the unforgettable day. CUTIS proudly declared that tomorrow’s mission would be even bigger, leaving the whole family laughing and excited for their next fun-filled farming adventure together.
