So Sad! One Disaster Had Just Passed When Another Disaster Struck the Xuka Family

The forest was finally quiet again. After surviving the terrible flood, baby monkey Xuka and her family were slowly returning to their normal lives. The trees still dripped with water, and the ground was soft and muddy, but the danger had passed. Xuka thought the worst was over.

“We’re safe now,” her father said gently, trying to comfort everyone.

Xuka smiled a little, holding onto her mother. But deep inside, she still felt uneasy.

The next morning, the sky looked clear, but something didn’t feel right. A strange smell drifted through the air. Then, in the distance, a thin line of smoke began to rise.

“Do you see that?” her uncle asked, pointing toward the far side of the forest.

Within moments, the smoke grew thicker. Suddenly, a loud crackling sound echoed as flames appeared, spreading quickly from tree to tree. A fire had started—and the dry branches left behind by the flood made it spread even faster.

“Fire! We have to move now!” her father shouted.

Xuka’s heart dropped. “Another disaster?” she cried, her voice trembling.

There was no time to think. The family quickly gathered together and began escaping through the forest. The heat grew stronger, and the air became harder to breathe. Ash floated through the sky like dark snow.

“Stay close!” her mother called, holding Xuka tightly.

The path was difficult. Fallen branches and wet ground slowed them down, while the fire chased from behind. Xuka felt tears in her eyes. “Why is this happening again?” she whispered.

Her father turned back briefly. “Sometimes life is like this,” he said. “But we must stay strong together.”

Step by step, they pushed forward until they finally reached a safer area near a riverbank, far from the flames. Exhausted, they stopped and looked back at the burning forest.

Xuka leaned into her mother, her body still shaking. This time, she didn’t feel relief—only sadness and disbelief.

But her mother gently stroked her head. “We’re still together. That’s what matters most.”

Though their home was once again in danger, Xuka began to understand something important: even when disasters come one after another, love and unity can help them survive the darkest moments.
