It was a bright and beautiful morning on the farm when CUTIS decided to explore the watermelon field with Dad. The sun was shining, the air was fresh, and the green vines stretched across the field in every direction.
CUTIS loved helping Dad with farm work, but that morning he was about to make an amazing discovery.
While walking between the rows of watermelon plants, CUTIS suddenly noticed something unusual underneath the large leaves. He carefully moved the vines aside and froze in surprise.
There was a giant watermelon!
CUTIS’s eyes became huge as he stared at the enormous fruit. It was much bigger than the watermelons he had seen before.
He quickly called Dad over to show him his discovery.
Dad smiled and explained that the watermelon was almost ready to harvest. CUTIS became extremely excited and immediately wanted to help.
Instead of simply pulling the watermelon from the vine, CUTIS carefully watched Dad demonstrate how to check whether the fruit was ripe. He examined its color, gently touched the surface, and even looked at the stem.
CUTIS took the job very seriously.
After carefully inspecting the watermelon, he nodded as if he were a professional farmer.
Dad laughed and encouraged him to help with the harvest.
CUTIS carefully held the watermelon while Dad cut the stem. But the fruit was so large and heavy that CUTIS could barely move it!
He tried pushing it.
Then he tried pulling it.
Finally, CUTIS found a clever solution. He asked Dad to help him roll the giant watermelon across the ground instead of carrying it.
Dad was impressed by CUTIS’s smart idea.
Together, they slowly rolled the watermelon toward the farm cart. CUTIS looked extremely proud of himself.
But the adventure wasn’t over.
CUTIS discovered several more huge watermelons hiding under the leaves. He carefully pointed them out to Dad one by one, making the harvest much easier.
By the end of the morning, the farm cart was filled with beautiful, giant watermelons.
Dad praised CUTIS for being such a smart and hardworking little helper.
CUTIS proudly sat beside the harvest, looking like a true professional farmer.
His curiosity, careful observation, and clever thinking had turned an ordinary morning into an exciting farming adventure.
Dad smiled and said that with skills like these, CUTIS might become the farm’s best little farmer one day!
