It was a peaceful morning on the farm, and the sun had just begun to shine over the fields. Dad was busy with his daily chores, feeding the animals and cleaning around the yard. Nearby, a tiny puppy was resting in a basket. The little puppy was still very young and needed lots of care and attention.
Watching everything closely was Monkey Zika.
Zika loved helping Dad whenever possible. When he noticed that Dad was busy and the puppy was alone, he decided to lend a hand in his own special way.
First, Zika carefully sat beside the puppy to keep it company. The puppy seemed a little nervous and whimpered softly. Zika gently patted its head and made funny faces to cheer it up. Soon, the puppy stopped crying and started wagging its tiny tail.

A little later, Zika noticed that the puppy’s water bowl was empty. Wanting to help, he carefully carried a small container of water and filled the bowl. The puppy eagerly drank the fresh water while Zika watched proudly.
The day became warmer, and the puppy started looking sleepy. Zika found a soft blanket and gently pulled it over the puppy. Then he sat nearby, making sure no other animals disturbed its nap.
When the puppy woke up, it was full of energy. Zika played with it in the yard, rolling a small ball back and forth. The puppy chased the ball excitedly while Zika laughed with joy. Their friendship grew stronger with every game.
Dad was deeply touched by Zika’s kindness. Even though Zika was small, he showed a big heart. He understood that the puppy needed love, comfort, and care.
As the sun began to set, the puppy curled up next to Zika, feeling safe and happy. Dad looked at them and smiled warmly.
“You did a wonderful job today, Zika,” Dad said.
Zika beamed with pride. Helping the puppy had made him happy too.
