Early in the morning, Dad noticed that little CUTIS was not acting like his usual playful self. Normally, CUTIS loved running around the house, smiling, and making everyone laugh. But today, he looked tired, quiet, and a little weak. He didn’t even touch his favorite breakfast.
Dad gently touched CUTIS’s forehead and saw the worried look in his eyes. “Something isn’t right,” Dad said softly. CUTIS leaned against him, looking uncomfortable and sleepy. Wanting to make sure everything was okay, Dad quickly decided to take him to the hospital for a special check-up.
At the hospital, CUTIS held Dad’s hand tightly as they walked inside. The bright lights and white coats made him a little nervous, but Dad stayed close and comforted him. “Don’t worry, CUTIS, the doctor will help you feel better soon,” Dad whispered.
The doctor welcomed them with a warm smile and began the examination. First, she checked CUTIS’s temperature, heartbeat, and breathing. Then she asked Dad questions about when CUTIS started feeling sick and what symptoms he had been showing.
CUTIS sat quietly while the doctor listened carefully with her stethoscope. She also checked his throat and tummy to find the real cause of his illness. After a few moments, the doctor smiled kindly and explained that CUTIS had caught a mild cold and was also feeling weak because he hadn’t been eating enough healthy food.
Dad nodded with relief, happy that it wasn’t anything serious.
The doctor gave CUTIS some medicine and reminded him to drink warm water, eat nutritious meals, and get plenty of rest. CUTIS looked up at Dad and promised to be brave and take his medicine on time.
When they returned home, Dad prepared a warm bowl of soup and tucked CUTIS into bed with a soft blanket. Feeling loved and cared for, CUTIS finally smiled again.
By the next day, after rest, medicine, and Dad’s gentle care, CUTIS already felt much better. The hospital visit may have been scary at first, but it helped them discover the cause of the sickness and made CUTIS stronger again.
