One beautiful morning, Monkey Lily woke up early with a wonderful idea. She wanted to do something special for her dad to show him how much she loved and appreciated him. Dad had been working hard every day, so Lily decided to surprise him with something fresh and delicious from the garden.
After washing her face and getting ready, Lily grabbed a small basket and hurried outside. She walked toward the orange trees, where she saw many bright, juicy oranges hanging from the branches. Lily smiled excitedly. She knew Dad loved fresh oranges, and she wanted to pick the sweetest ones for him.
Lily carefully looked at each orange before choosing one. Some were still green, while others had turned a beautiful bright orange color. She reached up and gently picked the ripest fruit, placing it safely into her basket.
The oranges were a little high, so Lily had to work hard. She climbed carefully onto a small wooden stool and stretched her little arms toward the branches. After picking several oranges, she climbed down and checked her basket. It was slowly becoming full.
Lily continued harvesting until she had enough oranges for the whole family. She was tired, but she didn’t stop because she was determined to make Dad happy. She even selected one especially large and beautiful orange and saved it for Dad.
When she finished, Lily carried the heavy basket back toward the house. She could hardly wait to see Dad’s reaction.
A little later, Dad returned home from work. As soon as he walked through the door, Lily ran toward him with her basket. She proudly showed him the fresh oranges she had harvested herself.
Dad was surprised and smiled warmly. He couldn’t believe Lily had worked so hard just to make him happy. He hugged her gently and thanked his thoughtful little daughter.
Lily happily handed Dad the biggest orange. Dad peeled it and shared it with Lily and the family.
Everyone enjoyed the sweet, juicy fruit together. Lily felt incredibly proud because her simple surprise had brought so much happiness to her dad. It was a beautiful reminder that even a small act of love can make someone’s day very special.
