After a long day at school, Abu arrived home feeling tired but happy. He put his school bag down and was ready to relax when he heard something familiar coming from the bathroom.
It was the baby monkey!
The little monkey had spent the afternoon playing outside and was now covered in dust and dirt. Mom had prepared a warm bath, but the energetic baby monkey seemed determined to escape.
As soon as Mom tried to guide it toward the bathtub, the baby monkey wiggled away and ran across the room.
“Come back, little one!” Mom laughed.
Abu watched the funny scene and quickly decided to help.
“Mom, I can help you!” he said.
Abu carefully approached the baby monkey and held out his hands. The little monkey looked at him for a moment before finally allowing Abu to pick it up.
Together, Abu and Mom gently placed the baby monkey into the warm water.
At first, the baby monkey looked surprised. It grabbed Abu’s arm and tried to climb out, making everyone laugh. Abu patiently comforted it while Mom gently washed its fur.
“Don’t worry. It will only take a few minutes,” Abu said softly.
The baby monkey slowly became calmer.
Abu carefully scooped up some water and helped Mom rinse the dirt from the monkey’s fur. He was very gentle, making sure not to splash too much water.
But eventually, the baby monkey discovered something exciting—the bubbles!
It reached out and started playing with the foam. Abu laughed as the little monkey tried to catch every bubble it could find.
Soon, the bathroom was filled with giggles and playful splashes.
After the bath was finished, Mom wrapped the baby monkey in a soft towel. Abu helped dry its fur, gently patting it until the monkey looked clean and fluffy again.
The little monkey then climbed into Abu’s arms and rested its head against him.
Abu smiled warmly.
“You’re clean now!” he said proudly.
Mom watched the sweet moment and felt incredibly happy. Abu had just returned from school, yet he still chose to help take care of the baby monkey.
Before long, the little monkey became sleepy and cuddled close to Abu.
It had been an ordinary afternoon, but the simple act of helping Mom had turned it into a beautiful family moment.
For Abu, caring for the baby monkey was never a chore. It was a chance to show kindness, patience, and love—and that made the day even more special.
