On a cold and rainy afternoon, a tiny kitten sat alone beside a busy road. Her fur was soaked, her little body trembled from hunger, and her eyes looked filled with sadness. People walked past her without stopping. Some barely noticed the weak cries coming from the frightened little kitten hiding near a broken cardboard box.
She looked like the saddest kitten in the world.
The kitten had no mother beside her, no warm place to sleep, and no one to care for her. Every time a loud car passed, she flinched in fear. Yet despite everything, she still quietly meowed, hoping someone kind would finally notice her.
That someone arrived just before sunset.
A young woman named Anna was walking home when she heard the soft crying sound. She stopped immediately and searched around until she found the tiny kitten curled up against the wall. The kitten looked up at her with tired eyes, almost as if she had already lost hope.
Anna carefully picked her up and wrapped her inside her warm jacket. At first, the kitten was nervous and shaky, but after feeling the warmth, she slowly relaxed for the very first time.
Anna brought the kitten home, dried her fur, and gave her warm milk and soft blankets. The kitten ate hungrily, then fell asleep peacefully in Anna’s arms. It was probably the safest she had ever felt in her short life.
Days turned into weeks, and the sad little kitten slowly changed. Her weak body became healthy, her fur became soft and shiny, and her frightened eyes were now filled with happiness. She began running around the house, playing with toys, and following Anna everywhere she went.
The lonely stray kitten who once had nobody was now deeply loved.
Anna named her Luna, and from that day on, Luna was no longer a stranger on the street. She had become part of a family — a family that would love and protect her forever.
