It was a quiet afternoon at home, and everything seemed perfectly peaceful. CUTIS and the baby monkey were playing in the living room while Mom prepared snacks in the kitchen. Blocks were stacked high, toy cars zoomed across the floor, and giggles filled the air. But as usual, where there was fun… there was also a little mischief.
CUTIS had secretly taken the last banana from the fruit basket. He knew it was supposed to be shared, but it looked so delicious that he couldn’t resist. He quickly peeled it and gobbled it up, tossing the empty peel behind the couch, hoping no one would notice.
Unfortunately for him, the baby monkey saw everything.
With wide, dramatic eyes, the tiny tattle-teller marched straight into the kitchen. In the cutest, most serious voice, the baby monkey began pointing toward the living room, chattering loudly as if explaining a very important crime. Mom didn’t understand every sound, but she clearly understood the pointing… and the suspicious tone.
Mom walked into the living room with her hands on her hips.
CUTIS froze.
He was sitting innocently on the floor, pretending to build a tower, but the guilt was written all over his face. His eyes darted to the couch. Then to Mom. Then to the baby monkey. When Mom lifted the banana peel from behind the couch, CUTIS gasped dramatically, placing both hands on his cheeks like he had just seen a ghost.
His reaction was priceless.
He slowly turned to the baby monkey with the most exaggerated “How could you?” expression ever. His mouth dropped open in shock, and he pointed back as if trying to argue his case. The baby monkey crossed its tiny arms proudly, clearly satisfied with the successful report.
Mom tried to stay serious, but she couldn’t stop laughing. CUTIS eventually broke into giggles too, realizing he had been caught fair and square.
In the end, CUTIS gave the baby monkey a big hug and promised to share next time. Even though he got told on, his over-the-top reaction made the whole moment unforgettable.
Sometimes, getting caught is just part of the fun!
