It was a bright and cheerful morning at home, and everything seemed peaceful. CUTIS was playing happily in the yard while Mom was busy cleaning the house. As usual, CUTIS was full of energy and curiosity, always looking for something fun to do.
While running around, CUTIS noticed a colorful bowl sitting on the table in the kitchen. Inside were some fresh fruits that Mom had prepared for later. The bright colors looked so delicious that CUTIS couldn’t resist taking a closer look. He carefully climbed onto the chair and reached for the bowl.
“Just one piece,” CUTIS whispered to himself.
But as he tried to grab a fruit, the bowl suddenly tipped over. Fruits rolled across the floor in every direction! CUTIS quickly jumped down and tried to gather them, but before he could finish, Mom walked into the kitchen.
She stopped and stared at the messy floor.
“Oh no… CUTIS!” Mom said in a serious voice.
CUTIS froze. He looked at Mom, then at the fruits, then back at Mom again. He scratched his head, completely confused.
Mom crossed her arms and looked upset. “Why did you climb on the chair and touch the bowl?”
CUTIS blinked a few times. Instead of answering, he slowly picked up a fruit and held it out to Mom with a big innocent smile.
“Mom… fruit?” he said sweetly.
Mom tried to stay serious, but CUTIS’s reaction was so funny. He looked like he didn’t understand why she was mad at all. In his mind, he was just helping… and maybe tasting a little snack.
Then CUTIS pointed at the fruits on the floor and started collecting them very carefully, acting like a tiny helper. His confused face and serious “cleaning mission” made the moment even more hilarious.
Mom couldn’t hold back her laughter anymore.
She sighed, smiled, and gently patted CUTIS on the head. “Next time, ask me first, okay?”
CUTIS nodded proudly, still not fully understanding what he had done wrong—but happy that Mom was smiling again.
And just like that, the funny misunderstanding turned into another adorable memory for the family.
