One quiet morning, everyone in the house was surprised to see CUTIS sneaking into the kitchen all alone. Usually, CUTIS loved running around outside, playing games, or searching for snacks, but today something seemed very different.
He looked serious.
CUTIS carefully looked left and right as if he were on a secret mission. Then he quietly grabbed an apron hanging near the refrigerator and awkwardly put it on. The sight alone was already funny enough to make everyone curious.
“What is CUTIS doing in the kitchen?” they wondered.
The reason soon became clear.
Earlier that morning, CUTIS had accidentally eaten the last piece of Dad’s favorite banana cake without asking. When Dad opened the fridge and discovered the empty plate, he looked shocked and disappointed. CUTIS immediately realized he had made a huge mistake.
Feeling guilty, CUTIS decided to fix the problem in the most unbelievable way possible — by cooking a new dessert himself!
At first, everything seemed under control. CUTIS confidently placed bananas, eggs, flour, and milk onto the table like a professional chef. He even copied the cooking shows he had watched before, pretending to mix ingredients dramatically.
But only a few minutes later, complete chaos filled the kitchen.
Flour exploded everywhere after CUTIS accidentally dropped the bag onto the floor. Eggshells landed inside the bowl. One banana flew across the room and hit the cabinet. CUTIS himself ended up covered in sticky batter from head to toe.
Still, he refused to give up.
After struggling for nearly an hour, CUTIS proudly placed his strange-looking cake into the oven. Everyone secretly watched, trying not to laugh too loudly.
Finally, the cake was ready.
Although it looked slightly crooked and a little burnt on one side, the sweet smell filled the entire kitchen. CUTIS nervously carried the cake to Dad and lowered his head shyly.
To everyone’s surprise, Dad smiled warmly after tasting it.
It was not the perfect cake, but it was made with love and sincere effort.
