One bright morning, baby monkey Zika was excited to hear some wonderful news. His uncle was going to take him to the market! Zika had never visited the busy marketplace before, so he could hardly contain his excitement. He quickly got ready and followed his uncle down the village road.
As they approached the market, Zika’s eyes grew wide with amazement. There were colorful fruits, fresh vegetables, delicious snacks, and friendly vendors calling out to customers. Everywhere he looked, there was something interesting to see.
Uncle held Zika’s hand and reminded him to stay close. The little monkey nodded, but he was so curious that he kept stopping to admire different stalls. He watched a fruit seller stacking shiny oranges and a farmer arranging baskets of fresh corn.
Then something unexpected happened.
As they walked through the market, Zika noticed an elderly rabbit struggling to carry several heavy bags. The rabbit moved very slowly and looked exhausted. Most people were busy shopping and didn’t notice her difficulty.
Without hesitation, Zika tugged on his uncle’s sleeve.
“Uncle, can we help her?” he asked.
His uncle smiled and agreed immediately.
The two monkeys walked over and offered their assistance. The grateful rabbit gladly accepted. Zika carried a small bag while his uncle carried the heavier ones. Together, they helped the rabbit reach her home near the edge of the village.
The rabbit thanked them warmly and gave Zika a fresh carrot as a reward. Although the gift was small, Zika felt proud and happy. Helping someone in need made him feel much better than buying treats or toys.
Afterward, Uncle and Zika returned to the market. This time, Uncle decided to reward Zika for his kindness. They bought some sweet bananas and a refreshing fruit drink to enjoy together.
On the way home, Uncle told Zika how proud he was.
“Many people see someone who needs help,” Uncle said, “but not everyone chooses to stop and help. Today you showed a very kind heart.”
Zika smiled shyly as he enjoyed his bananas.
What started as a simple trip to the market became a special lesson about kindness and compassion. By the end of the day, Zika learned that helping others is one of the greatest rewards anyone can receive, and his uncle couldn’t have been prouder of his little nephew. 🐵❤️🥕🛍️
