Everyone in the house knew that Dad loved watching videos on his phone after finishing work in the garden. Every evening, he would sit quietly on the wooden chair near the porch, completely focused on his screen while relaxing.
But little Cutis had something very important planned that day.
He wanted Dad to stop looking at the phone and pay attention to him instead.
At first, Cutis tried the usual tricks. He danced in front of Dad, waved his tiny hands dramatically, and even made funny monkey noises. But Dad only smiled briefly without lifting his eyes from the screen.
Cutis crossed his arms and pouted.
“Hmm… I need a bigger surprise,” he whispered to himself.
Suddenly, a mischievous idea popped into his clever little mind.
Cutis quietly sneaked into the kitchen while Dad remained distracted by the phone. A few minutes later, strange sounds started coming from inside the house — loud banging pots, rattling spoons, and mysterious giggles.
Dad looked up for one second before returning to the screen.
But then came the real surprise.
Out of nowhere, Cutis suddenly appeared wearing a giant cooking pot on his head like a helmet, oversized sunglasses, and Dad’s gardening gloves that dragged across the floor. In one hand, he carried a banana like a microphone, and in the other, he held a toy broom like a guitar.
Then he started dancing wildly.
Cutis spun in circles, pretended to sing loudly, and jumped onto a chair dramatically like a rock star performing on stage. The pot on his head kept slipping sideways, making him wobble around even more hilariously.
Dad finally looked away from the phone completely.
For a few seconds, he stared in total shock before bursting into uncontrollable laughter. Even Mom and Lyly rushed into the room after hearing the commotion, and they laughed so hard that tears rolled down their faces.
Cutis proudly continued his ridiculous performance, clearly enjoying every second of the attention.
Finally, Dad put his phone down completely and clapped loudly. “Okay, okay, Cutis wins!” he laughed. “That was the funniest surprise ever!”
Hearing this, Cutis grinned proudly and jumped into Dad’s arms.
That evening, instead of staring at a phone screen, the whole family spent time laughing, talking, and playing together — all thanks to Cutis and his silly surprise plan.
