One bright morning, baby monkey Xuka woke up feeling excited. She jumped out of bed, stretched her tiny arms, and looked around for her dad.
“Dad! Dad!” Xuka called.
Her dad came over with a smile. “Good morning, little Xuka! What are you doing today?”
Xuka looked a little shy. She held a small basket in her hands and said, “Dad, I need your help, but I have so many things to do that I don’t know where to start!”
Dad laughed gently. “Then let’s do them together!”
First, Xuka pointed toward the kitchen. She wanted to prepare breakfast, but she could not reach the fruit basket on the table. Dad carefully lifted her up, and Xuka happily chose some bananas and sweet mangoes.
“Thank you, Dad!” she said.
After breakfast, Xuka wanted to wash her favorite little dress. She tried to carry the bucket of water, but it was much too heavy for her tiny arms.
Dad quickly came to help.
“I can do it myself!” Xuka said stubbornly, trying again.
Dad smiled. “Being independent is wonderful, but asking for help is okay too.”
Xuka thought about his words and nodded. Together, they washed the dress and hung it outside in the warm sunshine.
But Xuka still had one more problem. She wanted to build a tiny treehouse where she could play and keep her favorite toys. She had collected sticks, leaves, and flowers, but she didn’t know how to make the little house strong and safe.
“Dad, can you help me build it?” Xuka asked sweetly.
“Of course!” Dad replied.
The two monkeys worked together all afternoon. Dad tied the strong branches while Xuka decorated the treehouse with colorful leaves and flowers. When they finished, Xuka climbed inside and clapped her hands with joy.
“It’s perfect!” she cheered.
Dad sat beside her and gave her a warm hug.
Xuka smiled and said, “Today I learned something important. Sometimes I can do things by myself, but sometimes I need Dad’s help too.”
Dad kissed her forehead. “And whenever you need me, I’ll always be here.”
Xuka snuggled close to her dad, feeling safe, happy, and loved in their beautiful little treehouse.
