One bright morning, Cutis woke up feeling unusually excited. Nobody knew why, but the naughty little monkey had a huge smile on his face from the moment he jumped out of bed. Dad was busy watering the vegetables in the garden, while Mom prepared breakfast inside the house. As usual, everyone expected Cutis to cause a little trouble before the day ended.
After breakfast, Cutis noticed Dad’s old straw hat hanging near the door. A funny idea instantly popped into his head. Quietly, he grabbed the hat and placed it on his own head. Then he picked up a tiny stick from the yard and started walking around like an old farmer.
The funniest part was the serious expression on Cutis’s face. He slowly marched through the garden, pretending to inspect the plants exactly like Dad. Whenever he saw a tomato or cucumber, he would nod proudly and tap the ground with his stick. The chickens became frightened and ran away from him, which made Cutis feel even more important.
Soon, little puppy Kun spotted Cutis and began following him everywhere. Cutis suddenly turned around dramatically and pointed his stick at Kun as if giving instructions. To everyone’s surprise, Kun sat down obediently and barked once. Dad accidentally saw the scene and burst out laughing immediately.
But the funniest thing had not happened yet.
While proudly walking around the muddy garden, Cutis stepped onto a slippery pumpkin vine. WHOOSH! His feet flew into the air, and he landed right inside a large bucket of water with a huge splash. The straw hat floated away while muddy water splashed all over his face.
For a moment, Cutis sat completely still inside the bucket with wide, shocked eyes. Then puppy Kun started barking excitedly as if laughing at him. Dad laughed so hard he almost dropped the watering can, and even Mom came outside to see what happened.
Embarrassed but still cheerful, Cutis slowly climbed out of the bucket covered in mud from head to toe. Instead of crying, the silly little monkey started laughing too. Soon, everyone in the yard was laughing together.
That day became one of the funniest memories for the family. From then on, whenever Dad wore his straw hat, everyone remembered the hilarious moment when “Farmer Cutis” accidentally fell into the water bucket.
