It was a bright and cheerful morning in the little forest village, and Monkey Lyly’s mom had been busy since sunrise. She carefully prepared a delicious meal filled with Lyly’s favorite treats—sweet bananas, warm rice cakes, and a bowl of fresh coconut milk. The smell floated through the trees, making everyone hungry.
But where was Lyly?
Usually, Lyly would be the first one at the table, her eyes sparkling with excitement. Today, however, her seat was empty. Her mom called out, “Lyly! Breakfast is ready!” but there was no answer. A few minutes passed, and the food began to cool. Her mom started to worry.
Meanwhile, behind a big bush not far from the house, Lyly was in a bit of trouble. She had woken up feeling strange in her tummy, and before she knew it, she had to rush off to poop! Poor Lyly sat there, embarrassed and uncomfortable, wishing she had gone earlier. “Oh no,” she muttered, “Mom made breakfast… I’m going to miss it!”
Time went by, and Lyly tried her best to hurry, but her stomach wasn’t cooperating. She could still smell the delicious food from afar, which made her even more upset. “Why today of all days?” she sighed.
Back at home, her mom finally went out to look for her. After searching around, she found Lyly behind the bush looking tired and a little ashamed. “Lyly, what happened?” her mom asked gently.
Lyly looked down and said, “I had a tummy problem… and I missed breakfast.”
Her mom smiled kindly and patted her head. “That’s okay, sweetheart. These things happen. Next time, try to take care of your tummy early, alright?”
When they returned home, Lyly was surprised to see her meal still waiting. Her mom had warmed it up just for her. Lyly’s face lit up with joy, and she hugged her mom tightly.
From that day on, Lyly learned an important lesson: always listen to your body—and never wait too long when nature calls!
