Why Is Baby Monkey Xuka So Angry With Her Dad?

Baby Monkey Xuka woke up early one sunny morning, expecting a fun day with her dad. She hurried outside with a big smile, carrying her favorite little ball and hoping they could play together in the garden. But to her disappointment, Dad Monkey was busy fixing the fence near the banana trees.

“Dad, can you play with me?” Xuka asked hopefully.

“Maybe later, Xuka. I need to finish this work first,” Dad replied gently.

Xuka frowned. She sat nearby for a few minutes, waiting patiently, but Dad continued working. Soon, he went to gather tools, then carried baskets of fruit, and later spoke with neighbors who needed help. To Xuka, it seemed like everyone was more important than she was.

By lunchtime, the little monkey was feeling upset. When Dad offered her a sweet banana, she crossed her arms and turned away.

“What’s wrong, little one?” Dad asked.

“You don’t want to spend time with me anymore!” Xuka cried. “You care more about work than playing with me!”

Dad was surprised. He sat beside her under the shade of a mango tree and listened carefully.

“Oh, Xuka,” he said softly, “I was working hard because I wanted to finish everything early and spend the afternoon with you. I never meant to make you feel forgotten.”

Xuka looked down at her tiny hands. Maybe she had misunderstood.

Dad smiled and pulled something from behind his back—a colorful kite he had secretly made for her while working in the garden.

“I made this for us to fly together,” he said.

Xuka’s eyes widened with surprise. Her anger quickly melted away.

The two monkeys ran to the open field, laughing as the kite danced high in the sky. Xuka learned that sometimes love is shown in quiet ways, and Dad learned that even busy days should leave time for hugs and play.

From that day on, they promised to talk about their feelings and never stay angry for long.
