Zika Helps Her Uncle Take Care of the Pig and Bake Bread for Breakfast

The sun had barely risen when Zika stretched her little arms and stepped outside into the fresh morning air. Today was special—she had promised to help her uncle with the chores on the farm. Though still a baby monkey, Zika was eager to prove she could be responsible.

Her uncle was already waiting near the pig pen, holding a bucket of feed. “Good morning, Zika,” he said with a warm smile. “Ready to work?”

Zika nodded excitedly.

Together, they walked over to the pig, who oinked happily as soon as it saw them. Zika carefully carried a small scoop of food, trying her best not to spill it. Step by step, she approached the pig and gently poured the feed into the trough. The pig began eating noisily, clearly pleased with its breakfast.

Zika clapped her hands and giggled. “Good pig!” she chirped.

Her uncle laughed. “You did a great job. Now let’s make something for ourselves.”

They headed back to the cozy kitchen, where the smell of flour and wood filled the air. Zika stood on a small stool so she could reach the table. Her uncle showed her how to mix the ingredients—flour, water, a pinch of salt, and a little yeast.

Zika stirred carefully, her tiny hands working hard. At one point, she accidentally got flour on her face, making her uncle chuckle. “Looks like you’re becoming a real baker,” he teased.

After kneading the dough together, they let it rest before placing it into the oven. Zika watched patiently, her nose twitching as the delicious smell of baking bread filled the room.

Finally, the bread was ready—golden, warm, and perfect.

They sat together at the table, enjoying their homemade breakfast. Zika took a bite and smiled proudly. Helping her uncle had been fun, and she had learned something new.

It was a simple morning, but one Zika would always remember.
