Baby Monkey Xuka Is Sad Because She Has to Leave Her Aunt

The morning felt heavier than usual, even though the sun shone brightly through the trees. Little Xuka sat quietly on the doorstep, her tiny hands wrapped around her favorite cloth. Today was not like other days. Today, she had to say goodbye to her aunt.

Her aunt had been more than just family—she was comfort, laughter, and warmth. Every day, Xuka would follow her everywhere, learning little things, playing games, and falling asleep safely in her gentle arms. The thought of leaving her made Xuka’s heart feel tight and confused.

“Xuka, it’s time to go,” her mother said softly.

Xuka didn’t move.

She looked over at her aunt, who stood nearby with a loving but slightly sad smile. Xuka slowly walked toward her, her eyes already watery. Without saying a word, she reached out and hugged her tightly, as if she never wanted to let go.

“I don’t want to leave…” Xuka whispered.

Her aunt gently stroked her head. “It’s okay, little one. You’re not losing me. I’ll always be here for you.”

But for Xuka, it didn’t feel that simple. Change was hard. The idea of not seeing her aunt every day made everything feel unfamiliar and scary.

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she held on even tighter. Her aunt hugged her back, patient and calm, letting Xuka take all the time she needed.

After a while, her mother came closer and knelt beside her. “We’ll visit again soon,” she said gently.

Xuka sniffled and nodded, though her heart still felt heavy. Slowly, she loosened her grip and looked up at her aunt one last time. Her aunt wiped away her tears and smiled warmly.

“Be brave, Xuka.”

With small, reluctant steps, Xuka walked back toward her mother, turning around again and again to wave. Each step felt difficult, but she kept going.

Even as they left, Xuka carried something with her—not just sadness, but love. The kind of love that doesn’t disappear with distance.

And though her eyes were still filled with tears, deep inside, she knew her aunt’s warmth would always stay with her.
